Andrew N. Patton, PhD

Andrew holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology. His PhD work covered novel methodologies for exposure assessments, focusing on the use of probabilistic machine learning with low-cost sensor networks. Aside from his academic work, Andrew has significant professional experience as a scientific consultant in human health risk assessment, opioid overdose and disease surveillance modeling, and general machine learning and data science.
Andrew is currently employed by PatientsLikeMe LLC as a Sr. Data Scientist. Further, he is a visiting faculty member at the University of San Francisco Geospatial Analysis Lab.
